Moms now have a new place to learn how to check up on your teens online, make an iced coffee from home or preserve their kids' memories.
The East Valley Moms blog is new and reaching out to moms in from Tempe to the San Tan Valley, but the blog has information any mom can use.
When the four women got together to write the blog, they first went to Facebook.
"I think the most impressing thing was that with our Facebook, I think within like three days of launching... we had over 800 likes and it's kind of exponentially grown from there," said Michelle Alexander, one of the co-founders of the East Valley Moms blog.
The founders set out to find contributors for the blog. They thought it would take a couple weeks but instead it only took days.
"We had to close it down within three days because we had so many amazing women that wanted to be part of it, so it was great," said Christina Nguyen, another founder of the blog.
Now they have 17 contributors from all walks of life from moms of teenagers, to moms of babies, stay-at-home moms to moms who work outside of the home.
"We have a girl who basically lives on a farm. She's got goats and chickens and horses and five kids and she really give great perspective on gardening," said Nguyen.
The blog will also help to connect moms that want to take part in play dates.
The founders organized a mom's night out last Tuesday that quickly sold out.
The next event is Sept. 26.
