TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police say the suspect of a sexual assault against a juvenile female may also be connected to a series of shoplifting incidents.

The Tucson Police Department received a tip on August 19 of a sexual assault that reportedly took place in the 800 block of W. Santa Maria.

The Child Sexual Assault Unit responded to the residence to assist with the investigation.

The victim gave officers the suspect's physical description, which resembled that of a shoplifting suspect, according to police.

Detectives obtained the license plate associated to a man who allegedly took items from several Circle K stores, which led them to 28-year-old Peter Isaac Trujillo, a suspect of both the Circle K incidents and the sexual assault.

The vehicle was seized and Trujillo was booked into the Pima County Jail on August 22 on one count of sexual assault, one count of first degree burglary and was charged separately on several counts of shoplifting.

The Salvation Army is hosting their annual Thanksgiving dinner, but they may be missing a staple. They are in desperate need of turkeys.  Right now, they only have 40 turkeys to feed 2,000 people.  That isn’t enough because last year they served 1,600 people with 300 turkeys. And on Thursday more people are expecting to attend the meal. Turkeys can be dropped off at the Salvation Army Hospitality House located at  1002 N. Main Ave...
