Morris County suspect in custody

MORRIS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Update: The Morris County Sheriff's Office says their manhunt is over and the suspect is in custody.

The Morris County Sheriff says the manhunt started last night off of Highway 11 near Daingerfield State Park.

Witnesses say the Morris County Sheriff's Office, the Hughes Springs Police Department, and the Lone Star Police Department were all at the scene.

The Morris County Sheriff says the search stems from an incident that happened late Friday night. Three men were driving from Daingerfield State Park to Cason. In the car, one of the men took out a knife, and started stabbing the other two men.

When the car stopped, the accused stabber got out of the car and ran.

Morris County authorities have already found the knife they believe belonged to the man. Their search for the suspect continued Saturday morning after a witness saw someone matching his description.

The suspect's name and description have not been released, but he is from Marion County. The two stabbing victims, also from Marion County, were hospitalized. One has already been released, while the other has injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening.
