The Salvation Army celebrated a ground-breaking for a new pool in one of its residential camp facilities in Ohio on Saturday.

Camp SWONKEY, a Salvation Army camp in Oregonia, Ohio, will receive a new pool after maintenance expenses and deterioration claimed the old pool, which has served thousands of campers since it was constructed in 1950.

According to the Salvation Army, the total project is estimated to cost $1.9 million.
