LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A disturbance at the Kentucky State Fair landed one man in handcuffs.

Police said a KSP trooper at the fair was called over when Theodore Sanders, 50, began making a scene in front of Freddy Farm Bureau outside of Freedom Hall on Friday at 1:35 p.m.

According to the trooper, Sanders was yelling and pointing at the 18-foot tall doll of a farmer which sits on a hay bale answering questions. Children were present, as Freddy has long been a mainstay at the fair.

Police said Sanders was speaking unintelligibly and smelled of alcohol. He told the trooper he had consumed two or three beers.

He was arrested and charged with public alcohol intoxication and disorderly conduct.
