A beeping alarm alerts homeowner to smoke in her home, allows her to get out of home and call 911 from neighbors house across the street, according to Tucson Fire officials.
According to TFD they received multiple 911 calls around 5 a.m., about a house fire in the 7200 block of East 29th Street. Crews arrived on scene and were able to extinguish the fire about 5:26 a.m.
Four people live in the home, according to TFD officials, but only one was home at the time of the fire. TFD is reporting no injuries to either the resident or the firefighters.
The extent of the damage to the home is not yet known, and an investigation is ongoing into the cause of the fire.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
