PIMA COUNTY, AZ ( Tucson News Now) -

A woman was transported to a local hospital after accidentally driving into a dry cleaning store Wednesday night.

According to Capt. Adam Goldberg of Northwest Fire, a woman was parking when she accidentally accelerated instead of pressing the brakes outside the Safeway on 9705 N. Thornydale.

She was sent to the hospital with minor injuries and is reportedly in stable condition. Her grandson, who was also in the car, was not injured.

One person was in the Safeway at the time of the incident but was not hit when the vehicle drove to the back of the store.

The store owner says the store will open until repairs are made, which he said may take up to a couple of weeks.
