TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The Tucson Padres came back from a two-run deficit Wednesday to defeat the Reno Aces 4-3. The win kept the Padres alive in the postseason race, as they are now five back in the division with five games to play, including four against first-place Las Vegas.

Reno took a 2-0 lead in the third on Chris Owings' RBI single and Mike Jacobs' sacrifice fly to right. After being held hitless though four innings for the second-straight night, the Padres scored three runs on three hits in the fifth to go ahead 3-2. Chris Robinson brought home the first run with a groundout, while Jaff Decker and Dean Anna each produced RBI singles.

The Aces knotted the score at three in the top of the sixth on Alfredo Marte's RBI double to left. Reno had a chance to take the lead in the inning with two runners in scoring position and two outs, but Matt Andriese got out of the jam with a groundout to third. Brandon Allen led off the bottom of the sixth by lining a solo home run over the right field wall to put the Padres ahead for good. Kevin Quackenbush earned his fourth save with Tucson by closing out the ninth with two strikeouts.

Andriese won his third game for the Padres after pitching two innings of relief. Reno starter Mike Bolsinger was charged with his seventh loss after allowing four runs on four hits in six innings. Anna went 2-for-3 at the plate to raise his average to .333, tying him with Fresno's Kensuke Tanaka for the Pacific Coast League lead.
