TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson Fire officials responded to a hazmat situation, south of The University of Arizona Thursday night.

Captain Barrett Baker with the Tucson Fire Department said a strange odor near Kino and Winsett alerted officials to a gas pump leak at a refueling station.

Officials said a Clean Energy maintenance worker forgot to turn off a valve, which caused a safety mechanism to turn on.

The leak was contained and the scene is clear.
