TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Tucson police and fire crews responded to a chemical spill at a Family Dollar in the 700 block of East Fort Lowell Road Sunday afternoon, according to fire Capt. Barrett Baker.

The store was evacuated by employees for a short amount of time. One person was complaining of breathing issues at the scene but was treated there and did not have to be transported to a hospital.

Investigators from the Tucson Police Department remain on scene to investigate what happened. It appears the chemicals on the shelf may have been intentionally mixed together by someone.

Reporter Matt Mendes is on the scene. More details will be in the 5:30 p.m. newscast.
