TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A weather balloon that launched Monday night in Fort Sumner near Santa Rosa, just south of Interstate 40, has landed. It floated south of Albuquerque and worked its way over Interstate 17 in Northern Arizona.

We are able to see it in Southern Arizona because it is so high in the air.

It can carry instruments that measures x-rays and gamma rays for high altitude research.
