Tucson Fire crews respond to overnight fire

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A brick wall and the quick actions of a young resident in the home helped to keep the fire from spreading and the family get out quickly from the house.

Tucson Fire crews responded to an early morning house fire on East 28th Street, near 29th and Rosemont.   TFD received a call around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning, reported a vehicle was on fire in a garage.  According to TFD a brick wall helped keep the fire from reaching the house. 

The residents have not been able to reenter the home yet, according to TFD, Building Safety has yet to determine whether the home is structurally safe. 

Tucson Police investigators are on the scene, determining the cause of the fire.  Damage estimates are not known yet. 

Tucson Fire is reporting no injuries to firefighters or residents.
