Woman hit, dragged by own vehicle

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Emergency crews were clearing a scene at Legacy School near Cortaro and Thornydale Wednesday afternoon where a woman reportedly ran over herself with her vehicle.

Authorities said the woman failed to put the car in park and was hit and dragged by the door as it started moving.

The woman was treated for cuts, bruises and a head injury.

    Rico Suave is a little worse for the wear, according to a Cochise County Sheriff's Office news release.  He was found shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21 by a woman on Old Stewart Road, approximately 12 miles from the location of the crash.

    An inmate, identified as 42-year-old Juan Carlos Dorado, has walked away from a satellite prison camp at the Federal Correctional Complex in the 9300 block of South Wilmot Road, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
