TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Last week Mountain View ran wild on rival Marana's new field turf. Now its the Lions turn to debut their new surface.

Mt. View (1-0) will host Cienega Friday in the Overtime Game of the Week. It'll mark the first game played on the new synthetic surface that the Marana School District had installed this summer at both its high school's stadiums.

The Lions ran for seven touchdowns in a 51-28 victory over the Tigers last Thursday night. Star tailback Richie Estrada ran for five of those. Quarterback Cody Rochon accounted for the other two.

Mountain View is in their second season under head coach Clarence "Bam" McRae. The Lions went 7-3 a season ago and advanced to the second round of the Division II playoffs.

Cienega lost their season opener to defending Division II State Champion Ironwood Ridge. Junior quarterback Adrielle Alvarado completed just 10-of-24 passes in the loss but threw for four touchdowns.

Junior wide receiver Cody Carpenter caught one of those touchdowns and had four catches for 127 yards.

The Bobcats are coming off an 8-3 playoff season.
