    Closing arguments have started in the public corruption trial of former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife, Maureen.
    Lawyers for the wife of former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell are telling jurors in her corruption trial that her interactions with a businessman who showered her with gifts may have been "tacky" but they are not illegal.

CINCINNATI (AP) - The University of Cincinnati is focused on fire safety in events Monday as part an initiative in the aftermath of two student deaths in an off-campus blaze.

The public was invited to viewings of the documentary "After The Fire," about the impact of a deadly fire at Seton Hall University in 2000. It focuses on the lives of two badly burned survivors.

Students Ellen Garner and Chad Kohls were killed Jan. 1 in an off-campus fire. The city of Cincinnati has launched a safe student housing program that lists rental properties that have passed city fire inspections.

Family members of the two students killed spoke during the programs.
