Funnel clouds were spotted in Mescal, east of Tucson, yesterday.

Meteorologist Aaron Pickering was in the newsroom when the pictures came into Tucson News Now.
He discussed the photos with the National Weather Service (NWS) Office in Tucson.
After a review of radar, the NWS confirmed there was weak circulation in the clouds where these funnel clouds were spotted.
There were no reports of funnel clouds making contact with the ground.
At that point the funnel clouds becomes a tornado.
