BUCKEYE, AZ (CBS5) -

Three students have been released from the hospital after they were struck by a car Tuesday morning in Buckeye.

The children were among six kids waiting for a school bus near 309th Avenue just south of McDowell Road about 7:15 a.m., said Maricopa County sheriff's Deputy Joaquin Enriquez.

The three victims were all boys, ages 6, 7 and 13 years old, and were standing with the others at the intersection of 309th Avenue and Lynnwood Street when a car driven by 18-year-old Ashley Reed, of Buckeye, struck them, Enriquez said.

Reed stayed at the scene and spoke with deputies, Enriquez said. Speed and impairment were not factors, MCSO said.

The three boys were taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital with minor injuries, Enriquez said. They were later released.

It's not clear yet whether Reed will face any charges, MCSO said.
