    September is National Preparedness Month and officials are giving a list of the basics that the public should always have on hand in case of an emergency. Always have water, a battery powered flashlight and a first aid kit and have them on hand before an emergency hits.

SURPRISE, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police ask for the public's assistance in locating a 14-year-old girl from Surprise.

Surprise authorities say Vaghe Cain has been missing since Friday.

She is about 5'5" tall, weighs around 110 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes, according to police.

What led to her disappearance is still unclear, police say.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Surprise Police Department at (623) 222-4000.
