Back to School bus tour makes a stop at a local middle school

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

After visiting TUSD's bus depot earlier this morning, U.S Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx headed over to Dodge Traditional Magnet Middle School.

Both secretaries are currently visiting an 8th grade social studies class, where students are discussing September 11, and service to the country.

They will then join students to paint ‘Kindness Coins', a symbolic token created by the Ben's Bells project to help promote kindness and performing good deeds.

The Kindness Coins from the middle school will be presented to President Obama, the first family and several others around Washington D.C.

After visiting Dodge, Secretary Duncan will be visiting Sunnyside High School later this morning, before heading to Phoenix for another leg of the tour.
