TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A fire caused heavy exterior damage to a triplex in the 100 block of North Euclid, two residents were in the units when the fire occurred.

Tucson Fire received multiple 911 calls, with one caller stating "The whole back of the house is on fire."

Crews arrived to find flames coming from the back and side of the house.  It took eight TFD units and 23 firefighters 12 minutes to put the flames out.

Two men were in the triplex at the time of the fire;  one was accessed for minor smoke inhalation at the scene but declined further medical attention, the other was unharmed.

Heavy damage occurred at the rear of the building, though there are no estimates on the cost of that damage.   TEP was called to the scene after a power line heading into the home was exposed to the flames.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and both residents declined any assistance from Red Cross.  Safety inspectors were also on scene to determine if the house was structurally safe or if the residents would be permanently displaced.
