PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Evening commuters face a five-mile backup on a major Phoenix roadway following a fiery car crash.

News helicopter footage shows vehicles are bumper-to-bumper on northbound State Route 51 at 32nd Street.

A car hit a median, rolled to the right side of the freeway and caught fire, said Arizona Department of Public Safety Officer Carrick Cook.

It's not known whether anyone was injured.

No other information was immediately available.
