    On Monday, for the first time, riders of Tucson's streetcar had to pay to ride.Over the weekend, 60,000 people rode the streetcar for free, according to the city's estimates."It was better than I expected and I expected a lot," says Shellie Ginn, the streetcar project manager. TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

As Colorado flood victims continue to deal with devastation, Southern Arizona residents and organizations are stepping up to assist them.

World Care, a civilian emergency relief center based in Tucson, is collecting emergency supplies for Colorado flood victims. Monday through Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm, they are accepting canned food, toiletry items, dry food for dogs and cats, as well as non-electrical tools. Items can be dropped off at 3538 E. Ellington Place, Tucson, AZ 85713.

The Southern Arizona American Red Cross has sent Tucson volunteer, Pat Eger, to Colorado. Eger is assisting with relief efforts and will also help during the recovery period. Additionally Red Cross volunteers are expecting to head to Colorado in the coming days. Disaster relief donations can be made to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org.

Additionally, The Salvation Army-Tucson Chapter has five volunteers providing up to 1,500 meals a day in Colorado. Monetary donations to help the Salvation Army assist with relief efforts can be made online at www.imsalvationarmy.org.
