3 escape Scottsdale house fire

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Three people are safe but looking for a new place to stay after their Scottsdale home went up in flames early Tuesday morning.

The fire about 12:30 a.m. caused extensive damage to the interior and attic of the home near Pima and Thomas roads, a Scottsdale Fire spokesman said.

Firefighters were still trying to determine the cause.

    According to a statement from TFD, it was unclear if the house near East 30th Street and South Craycroft Road was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

    Dozens of people spent Wednesday afternoon putting the finishing touches on their wagons for the annual Tucson Rodeo Parade. There are a total of 81 wagons in this year's parade. Close to 2,400 people and 560 horses will be walking in the parade as well.
