3 escape Scottsdale house fire

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Three people are safe but looking for a new place to stay after their Scottsdale home went up in flames early Tuesday morning.

The fire about 12:30 a.m. caused extensive damage to the interior and attic of the home near Pima and Thomas roads, a Scottsdale Fire spokesman said.

Firefighters were still trying to determine the cause.

    The Trust for Public Land transferred 44 acres to Saguaro National Park (East district) located north of Vail, on Wednesday, March 22 according to a recent release.  The new acreage adds a critical water resource to SNP east.
