Ramp from I-75N to I-475W reopens after truck rollover

PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The ramp from I-75 northbound to I-475 was shut down for more than 20 hours Wednesday night and Thursday morning because of a semi truck accident.

A semi truck hit and rolled over the guardrail on the ramp around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Crews had to bring in heavy machinery to clear the scene.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, 225 feet of guardrail will need to be replaced. Representatives also say crews will be working on minor pavement and shoulder repairs.

The ramp reopened just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Forest Service said Tuesday’s high winds, coupled with dry vegetation and low relative humidity – is a formula that can create massive wildfires. Like the Aspen Fire on Mt Lemmon that burned 84,000 acres in 2003.
