CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Clermont County Public Library is allowing patrons to get a taste of their imagination in an edible book contest next weekend.

The 2nd Annual Edible Books Contest is an event open to the public to celebrate creativity that relates to books.

Last year's competition included entries like, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" made out of cupcakes, "The Secret Life of Honey Bees" made from glazed honeycomb, and Dr. Seuss book covers on sheet cakes.

To enter the contest, contestants ages 16 and under must create an edible recipe related to a book. Categories for the contest include: Best Fiction, Best Children's Book, Best Non-Cake Entry and Best Youth Entry (ages 16 and under.)

The contest will be September 28, at the New Richmond Branch located on 103 River Valley Blvd. The public is invited to view entries from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. and vote for their favorite entry. Winners will be announced by 3:00 p.m.
