Girl, 4, pulled from Apache Junction pool in near-drowning

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (CBS5) -

A 4-year-old girl is now in good condition after she was pulled from a community pool in Apache Junction on Friday.

The Apache Junction Fire Department said when emergency crews got to the pool in the 2000 block of North Delaware Drive, the girl was not breathing.

Fire officials said the child was swimming with her mother and two other siblings when she went underwater. Her mother immediately pulled her out and began giving her CPR.

The child was taken to Cardon's Children's Hospital in serious condition and later upgraded to good condition.
