TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Crews from the Tucson Fire Department responded to a near drowning in an apartment complex Sunday afternoon.

A 2-year-old girl was found face down in the Jacuzzi of a complex in the 6600 block of East Broadway by her father just after 4 p.m. Her parents were in the gated pool area eating when the father noticed the toddler.

The father pulled the child out and 911 was called, according to a news release. The father began CPR efforts and the child began coughing up water. TFD paramedics arrived on scene and quickly assessed the child before transporting the child to an area hospital for further medical treatment
