Andrea Smith said her newborn's life started off in a very unique way and in a very unique place.
Smith said she went into labor on Sunday and was driven to the Oconee Medical Center emergency room by her husband.
"We went into labor around four o'clock and I was in pain," said Smith.
Smith, who already has an older child, said while waiting to be seen in the ER she went to the bathroom, and that's when things got interesting.
"I went into the bathroom and she just started coming out," said Smith.
While her husband went to get help, Smith said she was in disbelief that she had gone into labor in the ladies' room.
"I was in there screaming," Smith said. "I wasn't quite sure she was coming but I put my hand and ... yeah she was coming."
Nurses quickly came to Smith's aid and helped her deliver a 7-pound, 4-ounce baby girl into the world.
Smith named her daughter Khaleesi after a character from the popular HBO show Game of Thrones. Smith said the name also means "queen."
Hospital officials said Khaleesi's bathroom birth is a first for the Oconee Medical Center and say they are thankful the little girl is healthy.
Khaleesi and her mom are now at their home in Walhalla where Smith has words of advice for expecting mothers.
"Be ready," Smith said. "When it's time, it's time."
