TPD investigating morning robbery and stabbing in east Toledo

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police are investigating a reported robbery and stabbing that happened around 5 a.m. Friday in east Toledo.

The incident took place in an alley near Navarre and Plymouth. A man was taken to the hospital with head and arm injuries. Police say the injuries are non-life-threatening.

The victim told police he was walking home after running errands when he was attacked by several people. After beating and stabbing him, he says they stole more than $500 from him.

The man's roommate says they called police after he burst into the apartment bleeding, saying he had been robbed.

"He came running in the door hollering, and blood coming down his arm and out of his head, saying he had been jumped and robbed. I guess it happened out here in the alley. He's been saying a few things, but I think he traumatized over the wound in the head," said roommate Eugene Dunahoo.

Anyone with more information on who is responsible can call CrimeStopper at 419-255-1111.
