Smith Co. man gets 30 years for Shiloh Road robbery

SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A Smith County Jury has found David Ford guilty of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, and has sentenced him to 30 years in prison.

The punishment range for this crime was 5 to 99 years or life.

Ford and another man, Tevin Dorsey, are charged with the 2012 robbery of a woman on Shiloh Road in Tyler. Police say the men took a woman's purse at gunpoint while she was in her driveway.
