VERMILION, OH (WOIO) -

Police are investigating an alleged sex assault at Vermilion High School.

"We're trying to determine if that was the case or if it's inappropriate contact between two juveniles," says Officer Corey Spoores.

Police tell 19 Action News the alleged incident involved two students and happened on school grounds at the stadium on September 27.

"We can't jump to conclusions until we finish our investigation and interview all the associated parties," says Officer Spoores.

Investigators won't say if the two juveniles knew each other or who filed the report, but, they hope to learn more when they talk to the teens. No word on when that will happen or if anyone else will be questioned.

"There's some stuff that we're trying to find out through the investigation as to what actually took place," added Officer Spoores.
