Where to catch fall colors in Arizona, already peaking in some areas

Posted: Updated:

The air is dry. The temperatures are dropping. The days are getting shorter.

That means fall colors in Arizona!

The leaves are already changing color at higher elevations, including the White Mountains.

Check out the image below grabbed from the Sunrise Ski Park webcam at around 11 AM Thursday, October 7th.

The Aspens are peaking in color right now in the White Mountains, but there is still a lot of change yet to happen along the Mogollon Rim into Flagstaff.

The Aspens are also in full color in Carr Canyon

That canyon is in the Huachuca Mountains (near Sierra Vista).

Tucson News Now viewer Michael Tiemann snapped the below picture.

Look to the right and in the middle of the picture for a peak of yellow in the mountains.
