TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A 7-year-old boy died this morning from injuries suffered when he was hit by a car while crossing a street with his father and sister on Sunday.

According to police, Simon Foster, his 5-year-old sister and 28-year-old father were crossing East Speedway Boulevard at North Alvernon Way when he and his father were hit by a car making a right turn. Foster's sister was not injured.

Foster and his father, who had minor injuries, were taken to a local hospital.

The 31-year-old woman who was driving the car was cited for causing serious injury or death by a moving violation.
