TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

In the spirit of Halloween, the Marana Parks and Recreation Department will host a free Eerie Hike of the Tortolita Mountains on Oct. 16.

The self-guided, 3-mile hike will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Wild Burro Trailhead on the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton at Dove Mountain. The hike should last about one hour.

Officials say the path goes through a sand wash with minimal elevation gain and features flora and rock formations.
