TPD: Golf Links shut down after bicyclist hit

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Authorities have confirmed that a 71-year-old bicyclist died from his injuries after being struck by an SUV while trying to cross Golf Links Road Saturday night.

The man was hit near Golf Links and Kolb, according to Tucson Fire Captain Barrett Baker. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.  

Tucson Police say Golf Links will be shut down East and West bound at Calle Yucatan for at least four hours.
