A Carroll County man was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Carrollton, Kentucky.
According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), Michael Beach, 27, was walking on Highway 227 around 9 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle driven by 24-year-old James Wilhoite.
Investigators say Beach was hit after Wilhoite's vehicle crossed the white line on the right side of the road. Wilhoite left the scene and parked the vehicle in an adjacent parking lot.
According to KSP, Beach was taken to the Carroll County Memorial Hospital where he later died.
Wilhoite was taken into custody and charged with Manslaughter and DUI.
KSP says the investigation is ongoing investigation.
