CPD: Body found on west side likely linked to drug overdose

West 139th and Triskett, Cleveland West 139th and Triskett, Cleveland

An investigation is underway after a man's body was found on Cleveland's west side Thursday morning.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner was called to the area of West 139th and Triskett after the body was found in the bushes.

A passerby noticed the man around 8 a.m., and immediately alerted police. 

According to police, it appears that the victim died of a drug overdose, however the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the final cause of death.

The victim's name will be released at a later time by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office following next of kin notification.
