Police investigate double murder on the east side

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police are investigating a double murder on the east side. It's a story Tucson News Now broke online and on your mobile app.

Ambulances and police cars moved in. IPad video captured by KOLD executive producer Molly Kelleher shows the aftermath of a party gone bad.

"Yeah it can be a little shocking," one neighbor said.

Two men shot and killed in the street and another man rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Neighbors didn't feel comfortable appearing on camera.

"We heard the pops of the gunshots my husband came flying down the stairs, there's screaming, there's something going on, turn the lights off, get the doors, get the kids away from the doors," one neighbor said.

Investigators say it was just before midnight, there was a party for an 18-year-old in the neighborhood. A fight broke out in the street then three people were shot. One of the bullets appears to have shattered the rear window to an SUV.

"I've never experienced that before and hopefully never will again but I do know I was afraid to sit in my own living room. I was afraid to look out the windows and afraid to turn on my lights," another neighbor said.

Homicide detectives worked through the night interviewing witnesses. Crime Scene investigators also helped take measurements on the street.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911 or 88-crime.
