Glitches fixed with Sungo cards, riders now able to use them

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Sun Tran riders today will have to use a new way to pay, or rather they will be required to use the new Sungo system to pay for their fare.

Riders will be required to pay their fares with either the Sungo card, or use cash.

The fare system has resolved several issues since it launched in June; this includes one day passes expiring too early, more accurate online ordering, as well as activation of pending passes.

The Sungo card uses smart card technology to accept fare payments and transfers for Sun Tran, Sun Express and eventually the street car, all with just one card.

Card holders who experienced problems with their card when the system launched and never contacted Sun Tran could still have the above issues; those passengers should call the customer service center at (520)792-9222 for their concerns.
