Three Indiana men are facing charges after investigators found ten pounds of marijuana during a search warrant in Franklin County.
Authorities received a complaint of alleged sexual misconduct involving a juvenile last Tuesday. During the investigation into the report, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office found possible drug activity at the home of 34-year-old Garrett Simmons, located in the 26000 block of Sanes Creek Road in Laurel, Indiana.
Officers conducted a search warrant the next day and found approximately ten pounds of marijuana in his home as well as marijuana growing supplies.
Authorities say several controlled substances were also found but are pending identification.
Simmons was arrested and charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Officers also arrested Alvin Eden, 52, of Rushville, IN, and David Thompson, 49, of Laurel.
Eden was charged with cultivating marijuana over 30 grams, dealing in marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Thompson was charged with visiting a common nuisance.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the investigation into the alleged sexual misconduct is continuing.
