TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The second modern streetcar, ‘Tucson 102' is here.  It arrived on a flatbed truck just after 4 a.m. this morning.

Removing the second streetcar was an easier process than the first one, as wires were in place to power up the car and get it inside the building.

Having a second streetcar is crucial to the entire project, stated Andrew Quigley Operations Manager for the  Modern Streetcar, it will allow crews to test the electrical system ensuring the quality of the streetcars.

For the next week ‘Tucson 102' will undergo some internal work; leaving the maintenance and operations center next week to begin testing with the first streetcar.

The third streetcar is scheduled to arrive in another four to six weeks. With all eight cars on the street car line operating by the summer of 2014.
