The police chief for Gulf Shores along Alabama's coast is weighing-in on the actions of the law enforcement commander in charge of Ferguson, Missouri's in the wake of an escalating crisis brought on by
Gulf Shores Police Chief Ed Delmore wrote a blistering open letter to Captain Ronald S. Johnson, who was given command of law enforcement operations following days of looting and rioting in the city.
Bail has been set at $50,000 per charge for a Toledo man who allegedly hit a construction worker, stole a car, and led police on a chase Monday morning. He will not have a 10% payment option.
Police say they chased 25-year-old Robert Sinkey from Northwood into Toledo, and that he hit the construction worker at Collingwood and Jefferson. He then ditched the car and stole another vehicle before finally being caught.
Sinkey is being charged with felonious assault, failure to comply with an officer, theft, criminal damage, and obstructing official business. He is due back in court Oct. 29.
