TUCSON (Tucson News Now) - Pima County will unveil a new soccer stadium at an opening ceremony on Oct. 30 at the Kino Sports Complex.

The 2,360-seat stadium will be used for youth, amateur, and professional soccer and other sports such as lacrosse and football.

"We look forward to Kino Sports Complex hosting FC Tucson's third MLS preseason training camp and an even bigger and better Desert Diamond Cup here in February 2014," Pima County Board of Supervisors Chairman Ramon Valadez said in a news release.

The ceremony, which begins at 3 p.m., will include a special ribbon-cutting and an announcement of the first major event scheduled to be held there. Speakers from FC Tucson and Pima County Board of Supervisors will be among some of those speaking at the gathering.
