TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Another major injury blow for Arizona Women's Basketball.

Senior forward Alli Gloyd will miss the entire 2013-14 season after tearing an ACL in her knee during a scrimmage.

Wildcats head coach Niya Butts made the announcement Thursday at the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Media Tipoff in San Francisco.

Gloyd started all 29 games last season for Arizona averaging nine points and six rebounds.

The Phoenix-native transferred to UA prior to last season after earning Arizona Junior College Player of the Year honors at Mesa Community College. She has a redshirt option that would allow her to return and play her senior season in 2014-15.
