TUCSON, AZ On the heels of its most successful weekend of the season, the No. 25-ranked Arizona volleyball team returns to action as it hits the road to take on Colorado and Utah this weekend.

Arizona swept both UCLA and No. 1 USC at home over the weekend to claim a spot in the AVCA Top-25 poll for the first time since 2010. The Wildcats swept both UCLA and USC in the same weekend for the first time since 2001, the same year Arizona advanced to the Final Four. In addition, it was the first win against a No. 1 team since knocking off UCLA 20 years ago.

Meanwhile, Arizona found itself at No. 17 in the latest NCAA RPI rankings, which was up 13 spots from the previous week and its highest since 2005.

Following the successful weekend, Madi Kingdon and Penina Snuka earned Pac-12 weekly honors for the second time this season. Kingdon was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, while Snuka was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week. Both also earned weekly honors back on Sept. 23.

Kingdon continues to be one of the top all-around players in the league. She currently leads the league in kills (4.53 p/s) and points (5.34 p/s), while her nine double-doubles ranks second in the league behind Snuka's 10. Meanwhile, Snuka's 10 double-doubles is the most nationally among freshmen. She also ranks sixth in the conference in assists (10.14 p/s).

The Wildcats have been one of the best defensive teams in the Pac-12 as their 17.15 digs per set leads the league, while their .157 opponent hitting percentage ranks second in the conference. Arizona already has 25 combined double-doubles on the year, the most of any team in the Pac-12.

Colorado is coming off a 3-0 win at Oregon State last weekend, which snapped a three-match losing streak. The Buffaloes are led by Taylor Simpson as she ranks eighth in the Pac-12 with 3.48 kills per set. Nicole Edelman ranks fourth in the league in assists, while Kelsey English is in the top-10 of the Pac-12 in both blocks and hitting percentage. Colorado had a signature win back on Oct. 4 against then No. 1 Washington. The Buffaloes also defeated No. 11 UCLA at home on Sept. 27.

Utah heads into the weekend with a solid 15-5 overall record and a No. 22 ranking in the RPI. The Utes were defeated by No. 21 Oregon on Sunday but they had won their two previous matches. Utah is second in the Pac-12 in blocks as it averages 2.82 blocks per set. Erin Redd-Brandon leads the league in individual blocks with 1.39 per set, while teammate Bailey Bateman ranks fifth in the conference. Utah started the season with a perfect 10-0 record.
