Mother arrested after raid at apartment

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Davidson County mother is in jail after a raid at her apartment.

The woman's 14-year-old son answered the front door when police responded to neighbors' phone calls about the illegal plants.

Police say they found about 20 marijuana plants in all, and the largest was about 2 feet tall. They say they could see the plants growing out on the balcony of the apartment.

A bag of marijuana was also found in a bedroom closet.

Angela Hines was arrested on a felony drug charge.
