TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Students at the University of Arizona are gearing up for a Halloween bake sale to help raise money for the senior community.
It is the first bake sale for the students from the College of Pharmacy, they will be selling Halloween-themed goodies this morning.
They are part of the national organization 'The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists'. The organization did not have a chapter open at the U of A until this semester.
Students are working with St. Luke's Home, a local senior assisted living facility. They hope to raise money to go toward improving healthcare for the residents at St. Luke's Home.
Apart from delicious treats they will be displaying pumpkins the residents decorated.
The bake sale started at 8 a.m. this morning and is expected to end about 3 p.m.
