TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A suspect has been arrested in a cold case more than a decade old.

Homicide detectives had a felony warrant out for 18-year old Carlos U. Martinez, wanted on first degree murder charges for the alleged shooting-death of 21-year-old Francisco Moreno in 2002.

Authorities found Moreno on March 3, 2002 with gunshot trauma at an apartment complex in the 5600 block of S. Midvale Park Road. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested Martinez, now 30 years old, at the Mariposa Port of Entry on Oct. 25 and booked him into the Santa Cruz County Jail. He is now in the Pima County Jail.
