Michelle Ashworth

Michelle is thrilled to be back in Arizona. It was here she discovered her passion for journalism. A proud Sun Devil, Michelle graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications. There she was a weather anchor and reporter for the Cronkite News Service at ASU.

Her career has taken her from the Pacific Northwest to the Lone Star State and even over to the Bluegrass in Lexington, KY. She has covered stories ranging from double homicides and extreme blizzards to cases of swine flu. However, it's the stories that give a voice to people who otherwise wouldn't have one that have meant the most to her.

Michelle is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. With a close connection to the Air Force, she has a new appreciation for the issues affecting our military, their families, and the surrounding community.

Outside the newsroom Michelle can be found with her husband, their dog, Westley, and bunny, Fritz. She enjoys yoga, hiking, traveling with friends and trying to find the spiciest food in town.
