    Last week Border Patrol agents seized more than $1 million in marijuana, as suspects attempted to smuggle it across the border into the U.S. In a recent release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents with the Ajo Station, stopped three suspected smuggling attempts on Sept. 11.

TUCSON (Tucson News Now) - Tohono Chul Park on the northwest side is putting on a celebration Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. for Day of the Dead.

It features an up-tempo salsa concert by Rafael Moreno and Descarga.

You'll also experience artistmade altars on the grounds, and can visit our community altar (Ofrenda) to leave mementos and messages for departed loved ones.  You'll be invited to get your face painted "calavera" style (skull mask) to really get into the spirit of the Day of the Dead.

You'll also be able to purchase authentic Mexican street cuisine, beer, and wine fromTohono Chul's Garden Bistro.

Admission to Tohono Chul Park is $10 for the general public, $5 for park members.  Children under 13 are free.
